We’ve chosen the Olivine Pendant Necklace, but we’ve turned the pendant around for a more minimal look. Pairing with the dainty Radiant Pearl Necklace and the Heart Pave Pendant makes for a sentimental stack you’ll rewear.
For ear stacking, choosing opulent pearl earrings instantly elevates your look. We recommend keeping the rest of your ear stack quite simple, and let the pearls do the talking.

Wearing our iconic Zodiac Pendant is a classic you’ll wear again and again, and it also makes for the perfect graduation gift. We’ve paired it with our Olivine Charm Necklace, which adds a fun, but subtle, pop of colour.
You can have a little more fun with your ear stack. Continuing the green stones in the Olivine Dome Hoops & Wave Enamel Huggies makes this stack more playful, with sparkly accents from added ear cuffs and Crystal Charm Huggies.

We’ve chosen the Bold Zodiac Pendant so you can wear your star sign proudly, and we’ve paired it with semi-precious & pearl beaded pieces to add a statement look.
As there’s lots of colour and fun with the necklace stack, we’ve chosen a more classic (but bold!) ear stack. The Bold Hoops are our go-to for any occasion, but adding ear cuffs makes for a more party-appropriate look.

Bring positive vibes to your holiday with the meaningful semi-precious necklaces from our Treasure Collection. They feature Lemon Jade, which symbolises warmth and positivity, and Blue Lace Agate, which brings serene energy. Wear them individually or stack them together for a statement.
You can wear semi-precious stones in your ear stack, too. Combining Amethyst & Olivine stones in your earrings makes for a fun and playful look, that will instantly elevate any of your holiday looks.

]]>Moments that I will treasure this summer will be long warm evening dog walks as the sun starts to set, making tablescapes outdoors to enjoy an evening with friends or family with good food and wine, and listening to my boyfriend making music on his turntable as I paint in my art studio. These simple moments that I treasure are the ones that make me feel most alive!

Finding a conducive environment that helps me feel creative and free is how I find serenity as an artist. This summer I will make the most of being able to paint outside in nature, which is almost like a form of mindfulness for me, connecting with my surroundings and finding a true sense of calm.

The Olivine stone is my favourite of this collection, the stone of affirmation, freedom and joy. Joyful, slow and free is exactly how I envision my summer being. A summer to appreciate the beauty of England, appreciate the little moments like my morning coffee and spend spontaneous afternoons wild swimming or taking picnics to the forest.

Living in London, I have to be able to find serenity within myself. It is the fastest and busiest place I’ve ever lived, and I find it difficult to always look externally for peace. That being said, serenity and grounded-ness needs to be cultivated from within. It took (and still takes) a lot of self-work and effort but sometimes all I need is a deep, mindful breath or a bit of exercise to get me there.

Connie Nam was born in Seoul and raised in Washington D.C. and Seattle. The hustle of the cosmopolitan city of London appealed to her and the lust for learning and growing enticed her to apply for the MBA at London Business School. She longed to turn her passion for business and love of unique, contemporary jewellery styles into an empowering and shining company of her own.
Immediately after graduating, her dream became a reality and she founded Astrid & Miyu in 2012. Connie started the company from her little flat in Notting Hill. The first ever Astrid & Miyu website cost just £500 to make and develop and Connie handled everything from product design and marketing to sending orders! Want to switch up your jewels? Changing your piercing is all dependent on how your piercing is healing. We recommend waiting at least 2-3 months for lobe piercings and 6 months for cartilage, but if your piercing is still painful after that time you should wait a little longer. If your piercing is irritated after you change the jewellery, we recommend going back to your piercing care routine until it calms down. You can get in contact with your piercer if you have any questions, or book a Jewellery Change Appointment online.

Piercings are a great way to show off your personality and own unique style. We've picked out our top picks of piercings, based on different personality traits.
So whether you're looking to get a new piercing, or you’ve already got piercings and you're keen to hear what they say about your style, keep scrolling to discover your piercing personality.
You're chic, organised and opt for a minimalist lifestyle. Your 'less is more' approach means a lobe piercing is perfect for you. It's the white T-shirt of the piercing world - an essential base to build your curated ear (but it’s anything but basic). You can even try our Illusion Collection, where you can get the look of multiple earrings with only one piercing!

You're expressive, curious and kind. The outer conch is a relatively flat surface, which makes it the ultimate canvas to showcase your creativity (and your new jewels). We pierce the outer conch with a stud, and you can change it to any of our barbells once it’s healed.

You're creative, subtle and a trail-blazer. The tragus piercing is anything but basic, especially when you coordinate your jewellery with your lobe piercings. Depending on your anatomy, you can get pierced with any of our piercing studs; we love adding crystal details to tragus piercings.

There are four different metals that are usually suggested for sensitive ears. Sterling Silver, 14k Gold, Titanium and Platinum. The most common candidate to cause an allergic reaction is nickel. By avoiding nickel, your sensitive ears should stay allergy free. Always check what earrings are made of before purchase. At Astrid and Miyu, we are dedicated to making sure all our jewelry is nickel free, therefore should cause no reaction.
Technically you can sleep in any earrings, though some of them won’t be comfortable. Plated earrings will also rub away the more you wear them, so we would suggest keeping them in an airtight bag or box that you received them in to keep them in the best possible condition.
Different shapes and sizes suit different face shapes, so it is best to experiment and find out what you like. Check out Astrid & Miyu’s face shape guide to help get you started!
It all comes down to personal preference and style! At Astrid and Miyu, we say the more the better, so stack away! Create earring combinations no one else has!
Yes, you can wear Sterling Silver earrings in the shower. However, water does cause silver to oxidize (darken) more quickly.
Constellation earrings are a cluster of earrings, either on your lobes or cartilage, that are placed around the same way stars and planets appear in the night sky. Style with our star and moon charm earrings from our mystic dreams collection for an out of the world look.
Pain is all dependant on the person and their pain threshold. Some people think that a rook piercing (anti helix of the ear) is the most painful, while others aren't phased by it at all. Speak with your local piercer about what you’re looking for and how you usually react to pain and they will be able to give you a better understanding of the ear piercing process.
For the helix piercing, which is located on the upper cartilage of your ear, both a stud and hoop can be used to pierce with. We would advise to pierce with a stud initially as this can cause less irritation than a hoop, as a hoop can catch on things and rotate. Top tip! Studs usually allow for a piercing to heal quicker!

Textured jewellery = luxe vibes, it's a fact. Our huggies & hoops with a ribbed detail add a vintage inspired statement to your ear stack.

Chunky styles stacked up together results in ear stacking heaven (at least we think so). Our bolder huggies add a statement feel to your stack.
]]>Ring stacking is when you layer up your rings, either on one or on multiple fingers, to add different textures and curate your own signature jewellery style. Ring layering is a great way to rotate your ring collection or partner your everyday faves with new and exciting pieces.
Here at Astrid & Miyu, we live by a philosophy of individualism and experimentation. We simply love seeing all the different ways you can express your personality through jewellery stacking, whether it’s earring stacking, necklace layering or - of course - ring stacking. In this guide, we offer up our favourite hints for layering rings like a jewellery pro.
{{triple_upsell}}
Layering with chunky rings is all about creating a heavy, textured look that is simultaneously confident and cool. We recommend opting for just 2 or 3 statement chunky rings (two for one hand and one for the other) and then complimenting with thinner bands to add contrast. Signet Rings are particularly perfect for your chunky ring stack.
{{single_upsell}}
Mixing up your ring stack with gold, silver and even rose gold rings is the perfect look for those who yearn for a spot of playful rule-bending. A mixed metal stack means that you can wear all of your favourites at once, regardless of plating, and creates a look to reflect your devil-may-care individualism. Our stylists suggest alternating your colours to avoid too much monochromatic bunching.
{{single_upsell2}}
A ring stack doesn’t necessarily need to be made up of loooaaads of rings. A subtle or more dainty ring layer can be extremely elegant. You can choose to adorn just one finger with two or three simple yet statement pieces, or else spread a small number of delicate rings across both hands. Because simple doesn’t have to mean basic.
{{single_upsell3}}
Minimalism isn’t for everyone, so perhaps a maximalist ring stack is more your thing, with a higher number of rings and more creatively clashing chaos. Maximalism is all about combining textures, colours and styles to customise your own loud and proud ring layer. Why not try our multi-coloured iridescent rings for a rainbow ring stack?
{{single_upsell4}}
Our final ring layering look is a ring stack that is perfect for a sparkle finatic. Especially when partnered up with simple band rings to really let them shine, crystal, gem or stone rings love being at the heart of your stack. Our Navette Crystal Bands work particularly well as the shining centrepiece to your jewellery look.

Solid gold jewellery is made entirely of a gold alloy, rather than a gold plated base metal. This means it’s less likely to tarnish or discolour over time - making it the perfect material to invest in for your everyday jewellery look!
{{50/50 Block}}
Ever wondered the difference between gold plated and solid gold? The difference is that solid gold is gold throughout the whole piece, whereas gold plated jewellery has a base metal of brass or sterling silver. Although solid gold is more of an investment, the quality of our pieces is at the forefront of everything we create - so both solid gold and gold plated A&M jewellery is made for you to treasure and wear everyday.
Solid gold is made from a solid gold alloy, meaning it will last longer in your collection. The gold is also 100% recycled, making it a conscious choice for your jewellery box (without compromising on quality). Our Solid Gold Collection is full of timeless classics that you’ll keep for years to come, pefect for those special moments.
While solid gold is more of an investment, our Gold Plated Collection is just as special. Add personality, fun and sparkle to your jewellery box with our gold plated options. Whether that’s a Zodiac Necklace, Initial Pendant, your everyday pair of huggies or bold hoops - compliment your jewellery collection with the A&M pieces you love.

Want some solid gold styling inspiration? Whether your jewellery collection is 100% solid gold or you’re looking for your first piece of solid gold jewellery, we’ve got you covered with our favourite ways to style solid gold.
Opt for a minimalist vibe and let the solid gold pieces do the talking. This is the perfect everyday look!
{{single_upsell}}
Stack your solid gold pieces with your existing collection to compliment your look. Solid gold accents act as your base, which you can add to with bolder pieces.
{{single_upsell2}}
Taking good care of our solid gold jewellery is key in making it last in your collection. We recommend taking off your solid gold jewellery to shower and go swimming, as well as avoiding using perfumes or creams over the pieces.
To clean, simply use warm soapy water and a cloth to make your jewels shine again!

The best choice of focal point is usually dependent on your neckline. High and very low necklines are of course the easiest to work with because you have the most amount of canvas. First think about where you’re comfortable with people being drawn to, then think about the chain. This could be a long chunky pendant necklace to draw someone's eye further down or a dainty choker to bring more attention to the high décolletage area.
Length is extremely important when layering - necklaces of the same length will tangle easier. Also, you want your necklace combos to be the right length to fit whatever neckline you’re wearing. So, go long if you’re wearing a deep V-neck dress, or keep it shorter if you’re going for a high neck vibe. Looking for necklaces for a turtleneck? Wear your necklaces over the top of your rollneck and go statement with varied lengths!
Layering your necklaces can really be as easy as 123… If you’re new to necklace stacking, carefully choosing 3 different necklaces can be an easy and effective way to curate an adorable look! Odd numbers create nice variety and the option to sandwich your favourite pendant in the middle. Of course, this isn’t a golden rule - more or less than 3 can also look cute.

A choker is a close-fitting necklace worn around the mid to base of the neck. Chokers are classic, stylish and wide-ranging, you might not know it, but there are actually lots of different styles of chokers. Who remembers the tattoo chokers from the 90’s? Iconic!
The choker is the perfect necklace to start or finish off a layering look. They are often subtle but a true layering goddess knows they can make or break the look.
{{single_upsell2}}Having a pendant or charm necklace is an ideal way to create a focal point among your layered necklaces. You can use the pendants to add a certain individuality to your look, whether it be a charm with a powerful meaning or a gorgeous glimmering stone to add a little sparkle.
Pendants work well amongst necklace layers, as it gives some definition to the look rather than being just a mixture of chains. The pendants and charms make it easy to layer up a unique and eye-catching look.
{{single_upsell3}}Texture and length is key with plain chain necklaces. Once you have on your dainty choker and small pendant necklace, add a longer chunky chain and you can see how this completes the look. The variety of length and texture brings everything together and makes a somewhat imperfectly perfect symmetry of chains.
{{single_upsell4}}Generally necklaces that tangle together are ones that are similar in thickness and weight, so variety will help prevent tangling. By choosing varying lengths and weight, all the chains have a chance to lay flat, instead of tangling together.
Necklace spacers are brilliant little clasps you add to the back of layered necklaces to help keep them apart. Instead of all the necklaces gathering in the once spot at the nape of your neck, they are spaced apart slightly to avoid tangling. The dream!
There are lots of lovely ways to store your necklaces these days, whether it’s a beautiful jewellery box, a trinket tray or a jewellery tree. For necklaces, we would suggest a jewellery box big enough to store each chain separately or a jewellery tree is a beautiful display feature and is the best at keeping tangles at bay.
Weigh your lightest necklaces down by putting heavier necklaces on top. When light chains are loose and able to bounce about when you wear them, that’s when they’re more likely to tangle with those beneath them. If these light necklaces are the first you put on, that’s less likely to happen.
There's no worse feeling than arriving on holiday & your necklaces are in a big tangled mess. When travelling, a top tip would be to thread the chain through a paper straw keep your necklaces neat & tidy.

The devil is in the detail when it comes to dressing up a necklace stack. If your outfit is simple, feel free to go a little more wild, Double up on the chokers and add a few embellished chunky chains. For an extravagant outfit, keep it simple with only a few dainty layered chokers and chains.
Opt for fun charms or mixed metals when it’s a more dressed-down occasion. Adding a t-bar chunky chain and charms with a relaxed t-shirt is a combo that never fails. Whether you’re just hanging out with your closest friends or wanting to look glam while chilling at home, necklace layers are the perfect way to partner cool with casual.
We’ve of course included inspo from all of our A&M babes. We love seeing all your stacks so tag us #inAM in your fave necklace layering pieces and you might see yourself on our feed very soon...

The simple answer: yes! The idea that everyone should wear the same plating jewellery is a total myth - mixing metals with your jewellery gives a certain je ne sais quoi and it’s a great way to make your jewellery stand out from the crowd. The key is knowing how to mix metals, so you can achieve the jewellery look that’s all over your Pinterest inspo board.
And that’s where we come in! This styling guide will tell you how to wear mixed metal rings, earrings and necklaces - so you’ll be an expert in mixing metals. We’ll also give you some pointers on how to pick the perfect plating depending on your skin tone, your style and the occasion.
{{50/50 Block}}
If you’re new to mixing metals, we’d recommend opting for consistency with style - stick to mixing platings, rather than mixing dainty and chunky jewellery styles. For example, if you normally wear dainty gold necklaces, maybe begin with adding a dainty silver pendant, rather than going for a chunky silver chain.

Rings often have a sentimental value, so it's understandable that you want to be able to wear all of them at once. You can either go for an equal amount of each plating for a more balanced look, or you can add an accent ring of a different colour to make it stand out in your stack. The key is to experiment with different combinations to find your signature ring stack.

There are so many amazing ways of layering mixed metal necklaces. A good way to start would just be to layer two necklaces (one gold, one silver) for a sleek and simple look. Or, if you are already a necklace layering pro, adding one accent pendant necklace in a different plating can be really effective and chic!
If chains & pendants are your thing, look at our Necklace Layering Lookbook for all things necklace related.

Mixing metals with your earrings is the easiest place to experiment, as the pieces are super dainty - it’s a small risk with maximum benefit. For an everyday look, try out mixing huggies & studs of different platings. Or for a more statement look, add our Chunky Hoops in a different colour as an eye-catching accent. Our jewelled pieces, like the Crystal Ear Cuff & Navette Stud Earrings, act as a bridge between different platings to tie the look together.

So, now you’re an expert at mixing metals, now it’s time for the tricky part - silver, gold or rose gold? Whether you’re wearing only one plating or you’re mixing them up, there’s a lot to consider when choosing a plating. You might have always been a gold person, but adding silver into the mix might really suit your skin tone or hair colour! It’s time to experiment with our tips on how to choose a plating depending on your outfit, complexion & occasion.
The first place to start when choosing jewellery for your outfit would be the colour. Do you want the jewellery to stand out, or to coordinate with the tones of your clothes? For example, if you’re wearing a basic white tee - wearing silver jewellery will blend in with the white for an understated, sophisticated vibe, or yellow gold jewellery will stand out as a statement.
You should also consider your neckline & how necklaces look against skin, or against high-neck tops. If you’re wearing a V-neck top, picking a plating depending on your skin tone is super important (more on that later). Or, if you’re wearing a high-neck top, you want to make sure that the necklaces stand out against the colours.
With earrings, you can experiment with platings and your makeup looks. If you’re wearing a warm-toned eyeshadow and bronzed skin, gold chunky earrings look great. Or, if you’re going for more of a cool-toned look with silver-champagne eyeshadow and a pink blush, silver hoops would be a better choice!
And last but not least, sunglasses. It looks great to incorporate the hardware colour of your sunglasses to your jewellery look to make the whole look flow. Why not try one of our Multi-Use Chains, which can be attached to sunglass arms?

Ever wondered what jewellery tone suits your skin best? You may have not thought about it, but switching up the plating of your jewellery to accentuate your skin tone can make a huge difference!
Whether you’re cool toned or warm toned, fair skinned or dark skinned, there are jewellery platings to avoid and platings to gravitate towards:
Jewellery for fair skin: If you are fair skinned with red undertones, you should steer clear of rose gold as it accentuates the pink undertone of your skin. Silver would be a great option as it makes fair skin look more radiant and fresh.
Jewellery for tanned or olive skin: You can pick whatever plating you feel - everything will look good on you! Rose gold & silver is very striking on your skin tone, whilst golden undertones are accentuated with gold jewellery (lucky you).
Jewellery for dark skin: Gold, rose gold & silver jewellery all look amazing on dark skin tones. But if in doubt go for gold, which really highlights the warm undertones of dark skin. Silver can get a tiny bit lost against dark skin, but looks striking either way!
{{Triple_Upsell}}
For fancy events, it may be best to stick with silver or gold which is sometimes seen as more sophisticated than rose gold. But, with the right styling and outfit rose gold can totally work!
For those post-lockdown summer events, a mixture of metals look great! Your skin is more bronzed, you’re wearing your favourite outfit, so all jewellery will look amazing on you.
Looking for jewellery for a going-out look? Go for gold. Paired with a LBD and heels, gold chunky jewellery looks great on anyone.
